Within Kingscliff you can stay at some great places that are perfect for backpackers travelling on tight funds. From budget accommodation places, caravan sites and holiday parks as well as hostels that offer excellent dorm rooms and plenty of entertainment you can stay for next to nothing and still have great Kingscliff accommodation to return to at the end of your day. Nothing is ever far from the main attractions and activities in Kingscliff, so walking can sometimes be the best option which doesn’t cost a thing! Walk to the beaches, shopping precincts, cafes, bars and restaurants in the main hub of this vibrant town and sit and relax and take in the awesome views out across the Pacific Ocean. Laze on the beach and do some sunbaking for the day or join some friends in the foreshore parklands for a BBQ and a game of cricket. Swimming, surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling are some great water activities that you can do all year round as the waters are always a comfortable temperature. If you have never surfed before you can join in on a learn to surf class which will have you standing up in no time at all. Or maybe even join a fishing charter for some deep sea or reef fishing for the day. And during the months of July through to October you can board one of the whale watching cruise vessels and travel out to see these awesome mammals at play. Watch them frolic around with their new born calves and see how they are in their natural habitat. The National Parks to the west provide some great activities and attractions to do for backpackers, from Mount Warning where you can go mountain climbing, hiking, horse riding and bird watching to the Border Ranges, Richmond Range and the Tweed River where many more adventures can be found. The Tweed River is not far from Kingscliff where you can go kayaking, canoeing and maybe even book yourself onto a estuary cruise for some fishing and mud crabbing. The neighbouring towns of Byron Bay to the south, and Tweed Heads and the Gold Coast to the north would have to be two of the most well known destination along the east coast of Australia and with them being so close to Kingscliff you can easily enjoy the variety of attractions to be found here. From shopping, entertainment, beaches, nightclubs, Jupiters Casino and not to mention the four famous theme parks known as SeaWorld, DreamWorld, Movie World and Wet ‘n’ Wild you can look forward to so much fun. Kingscliff is a great place to base yourself to explore this beautiful region as there is just so much to see and do. From the ocean waters to the surrounding regions you can select from an array of tours and attractions that will keep you going forever. But Kingscliff can also be the perfect place to come to, to just unwind for a few days before you move onto your next location. |
